Requirements
Before you fill out an application, be sure you meet the minimum qualifications for serving as an Imperial Soldier. Qualifications are:
  • You must be 18 years old.
  • You must own a professional "bad guy" Star Wars Costume.
  • You must be willing to attend events.
  • You must have a good attitude and be willing to be part of a team.
Check the 501st Legion site for detailed information on professional costume standards and qualifications.


Step One - Qualify.

  • You must be 18 years old or older.
  • You must own a professional quality Star Wars costume. Costume can be an Imperial, a Bounty Hunter, Denizen of the Empire (ex. Tuskin Raider) or other "bad guy" costume.
  • You must attend a minimum of one event annually.

Step Two - 501st Legion Application

Choose an ID number. Complete the membership application.


Step Three - Prepare Your Imperial Identification Picture

Take a picture of yourself in your costume. A digital photo is recommended. Take one with your helmet on and one with the helmet off. The photo should be by yourself against a blank wall or background. When you are contacted about your membership, you will need to reply with these photos for verification of your costume qualifications.


Step Four - Wait for communication from the 501st LMO (Legion Membership Officer), 1876, Thomas Spanos

After communication has terminated between yourself and your GML (Garrison Membership Liaison), that GML will advise the LMO of their findings. If your application is approved, you will receive an email confirmation to that effect, at which time you will get your TKID assignment and be approved (only done by the LMO). You record will be marked 'ACTIVE' in the Empire's database, which auto-generates a webpage on our site under the approprate costumes that have been validated (please refer to the 501st Legion Members Area for reference). If you are not validated for membership, your record will be deleted from our database.

PLEASE NOTE: This process should take only a week, but it can take up to three weeks.


Step Five: Get involved with Star Garrison

Upon your approval, you will be assigned to Star Garrison, assuming you live in Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana or Oklahoma, and contacted by a Star Garrison representative. You may also contact us at info@stargarrison.com upon your membership approval.

Events are posted on the Garrison forums. Events can be planned by any member of Star Garrison but please consult the Public Relations Officer before posting them on the forums or the event calendar.
